We have not set up a garbage service yet. There are several to choose from. The service websites do not post costs of this service. Our past service, the sanitation was included with the water utilities for the city. Any recomendations?

Who was more impressive in the Vikings win over the Packers?

» Read similar stories filed under:

Both Adrian Peterson and Jared Allen had impressive days on the field against the Packers yesterday, so whose bog day do you think was better?
Peterson ran for 190 yards and a touchdown.
Jared Allen was chasing Aaron Rogers all over the field with what was described as basically a separated shoulder (and had his hand in two safeties).
If yesterday's game proved anything, it was that these two guys are a nightmare for opposing teams to stop.
So who do you think had a bigger game?

Who do you think should be in Obama's cabinet?

Who do you think President-elect Barack Obama should have in his cabinet and why?

I've seen a lot of names tossed around in the media including a couple different Kennedys (Robert Jr. and Caroline), Sen. John McCain, John Kerry, David Axelrod (chief strategist in Obama campaign), Robert Gibbs (communications director for Obama's campaign), Republican senators Chuck Hagel of Nebraska and Dick Lugar of Indiana and Robert Gates.

How do you think Obama can "reach across the aisle" in picking his cabinet?

Who should he include?

Vote, then grab some free coffee

If voting to impact the country's future isn't enough incentive to get you to the polls, how about a free cup of java? Starbucks will offer free coffee to patrons who have voted - just another reason to head to the polls early on Nov. 4. Visit http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a2J8KJDsqqY and view the commercial for more information.

What's your Election Day plan?

With record turnouts expected and reports of long lines in states that have early voting, do you have a "voting plan" for Tuesday, Nov. 4?

My husband and I plan to fire up the coffee pot, dress warmly and get to the church where we vote by 6 a.m. We'll probably feel like fans waiting to buy concert tickets, but hopefully we'll beat the crowds expected by 7 a.m.! We would go in mid-afternoon, but we'll both be working outside our precinct.

Where do you vote, and what time do you plan to get to the polls?

Writing as a Way to Learn

» Read similar stories filed under:

Teachers across disciplines and grade levels have discovered that custom essays writing and term papers can serve many purposes in the classroom. Writing-across-the-curriculum theorists suggest a variety of write-to-learn activities, from free writing in journals to summarizing class lectures to working with papers through multiple drafts. In the composition literature, support for these activities has come largely from intuitive arguments about the value of writing as a way to learn.

Remodeling Progress - One Month Update

The remodelers have concentrated on the exterior work so we still have our stove and sink.

Access is the big issue. Because the back entrance floor will be raised, even though the doorway is framed in, they have the doorway covered with sheathing. Our only access to the house is through the front door. Because of foundation work they have to do, they tore out the front steps so we have been using a ramp for the last week and a half.
