A 16-year-old Lakeville girl pleaded guilty in Dakota County Court this week for her role in the beating of a vulnerable Lakeville man that occurred in rural Dakota County in mid-October.

The three adult defendants in the beating and torture case of a Lakeville man had a brief hearing in Dakota County court this morning.
The next court dates for Jonathon Michael Diepold, 21, Glen Richard Ries, 33, and John Maxwell Maniglia, 19, all of Northfield, were set for Friday, Dec. 5 at 9 a.m.
Diepold, Ries and Maniglia all remain in jail on $300,000 bail.

A Prior Lake man is among four men charged in Dakota County in the beating and torture of a mentally disabled Lakeville man.

Armando Velasquez, 20, of Faribault was sentenced to serve 57 months in prison by Dakota County Judge Timothy McManus in connection with a fatal hit-and-run that killed a 32-year-old Prior Lake man at the Event Center parking lot in Burnsville on April 5.

A Scott County District Court judge has dismissed Dakota Liquors’ case against the city of Prior Lake and MGM Wine and Spirits.

A Scott County District Court judge stopped short of dismissing Dakota Liquors’ case against the city and MGM Wine and Spirits Thursday morning, saying he would take the case under advisement before issuing an order.

A hearing in the Craigslist murder case was continued until Nov. 19 so representatives of the popular online advertising business and of the e-mail service America Online (AOL) can be brought in to testify.

A 42-year-old Prior Lake man was arrested for his fourth driving while impaired (DWI) violation in 10 years after being stopped for speeding near Highway 13 and Rustic Road on Aug. 13.
