I grew up in Pl and I knew Travis Olsen well. He was a bully and a trouble maker all through grade school and high school. Yes he did serve his time, however anyone who does anything to a child need to be watched all the time. BTW, the neighborhood he is moving into is where his parents lived when I lved in PL. I had to deal with him everyday, what a joy.

Define Unsupervised. Prior Lake is going to have to deal with the problems as they arrise. This is why we have Community Notifications.
The Law states he must Register. He has done his time and may have been Rehabilated. Let's face it,Scott County isn't getting any smaller. We can't just keep kicking people out of the Community. As long as everyone is aware of this Offender then things will take it's toll. The site www.felonyspy.com was right on the button in the area I "USE" to live. It's good to know the of "ALL" criminals in PL. Not just the sex offenders. I learned a lot from the site and Note: The criminals are starting at a very young age. And THATS where the trouble begins. Hopefully the Committee is addressed on that subject also.

That said, this dude is unsupervised, that's even more troubling, but, well, this is one of those situations the community just has to take care of. He's gotta know people mean business and that he is NOT wanted, not forgiven and not welcome.

That being said, while that does get people out of town, it'll only move them to another town, somebody is going to have to deal with him.

Agreed! It's Obviously Children playing their games to get out of school for the day..I am sure with Technology now~n`days, the school should have full blown traced/recorded calls by now?...If there was an "actual" bomb threat, I highly doubt it would be a school. Although it should be taken serious, in all reality, PL schools seems to get threats every-other week..Not fair to the children who actually LIKE going to school...Hopefully they will catch the little culprits.

I mean no disrespect at all to any teachers, administrators, or community protectors whatsoever. This bomb threat routine, however, is getting a bit ridiculous. If a student at the high school, or anybody at all, for that matter, is going to set off a bomb, they aren't going to send a threat first. The people that are sending said threats are only trying to disturb the "peace", and judging by everyone's overreacting, it's working.

I am currently a junior at PLHS. My first hour class is Marching Band this trimester, and today, even at the end of first hour there were still people coming in to the room 45 minutes after school started just because they were searching everyone on the way in. I know precautions need to be taken, but when it interferes with class, that is exactly what the people are trying do, get out of class.

I have a daughter who is in 11th grade & it angers me that she doesn't feel safe to go to school. I hope this time the police will be able to determine who was involved in this threat and they are punished to the FULL extent of the law. The is a reaccuring issues in the last year, we hear about the threats but yet we never hear anymore about it after the fact, if they identified who was involved etc....I hope this doesn't get swept under the rug!

Knowing whether or not it is safe to send your child to school is unbelievably stressful. I hope they find out this time who is responsible for making threats to the school and all those who are in it. And I hope the teachers are understanding, regarding homework, of those kids who decide it isn't worth the risk to their life and stay home.
