My husband and I moved here from Duluth about 2 years ago. We miss being able to frequent a local neighborhood restaurant that is not a chain, that is not upscale and over priced, and that does not have a bar and grill atmosphere. Kudos to Lyaman McPherson for proposing such a wonderful venture! We will be your first regular patrons!

I didn't know Ruth at all however the thought of such a young girl losing her life due to domestic abuse is heartbreaking. Bless her and her family. Our prayers go out to her...

Not sure why you see that in the article, considering it doesn't say that. It does say it might take a two years to fix, however ... quite different than "won't fix" in your analysis of the article.

i think what people are saying is that surrounding communities are less extravagant in their spending and they are concerned about taxes getting so high as to force them to move. Prior lake WAS very conservative in its spending before the current Mayor. New visions have caused large increases in taxes which get paid by home owners and businesses. High taxes are a form or discrimination (if you can't afford it leave). The "Boom Town" caused by the Mayor inviting in developers to build and participate in the disastrous mortgage mess of building homes too expensive to afford, has caused a hit to Prior Lake and our nation that we won't soon forget. Granted the city gets higher tax revenues from over priced homes, but what about home owners who have lost equity because of this developer frenzy and outright fraud. The days of using eminent domain to rid neighborhoods of perfectly fine affordable homes are gone, but I do remember the residents complaining in meetings to rezone their neighborhoods commercial, and the overzealous developers and city not listening. Please don't continue this illusion of wealth as we haven't paid for the first one. Don't say it hasn't effected us here because it has and will into the future.

Sweet!!! Now I can just have the Daycare send my kids across the street while I pick up a KEG!!!. Thank you Prior Lake for doing your part in helping the struggling family save gas by putting a Liquor store next to a Day Care. Now if you can just see your way to get rid of the office buildings right next door and zone a topless bar there, I am sure the Daycare will over flow with kids, that their loving dads can drop off, while partaking in a night of fun.

Excellent, thank you for the update. I know this guy is not adhering to his release conditions. It's known around the neighborhood that he and the woman he beat up are working together and they continue to see each other. I hope he is convicted and gets the 13 years - it sure will make our part of Prior Lake a nicer place to live. It finally happened to OJ maybe we can see a bit of that justice here.
