I bought Marjorie's cookbook at this event and have used her chocolate chip cookie recipe twice now. They're great! I'm going to try to branch out from here - she's got tons of yummy-sounding recipes in there. She also has helpful baking hints, one of which I say "Amen" to: Airbake cookie sheets are the best!

My wisdom teeth were removed when I was 17. It went smoothly. I came home, slept the rest of the day (to ignore the icky, drooling part of the process) and took a couple of Advil. My mouth didn't swell up, so I went back to my part-time job the next day!

I, too, am supposed to have all four of my wisdom teeth pulled (will this affect my status as a genius?)

I don't like the woozy feeling produced by general anethesia and, I bragged, I have a high tolerance for pain (delivered a 9-pound, 4-ounce baby with no drugs). Then I was told that it would be 10 shots of Novacaine or one shot of bye-bye juice.

Next thing I know, I'm singing, "Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, hey, hey, hey, gooooood bye" -- and I'm not getting the teeth pulled till January but I sure do know it won't involve 10 needles!

I was in a rather "happy mood" when I was going under, the last thing I remember telling the three (or so) ladies in the room at the time (yep, lucky, all ladies) was that I was not going to sleep, and I tried to fight the drugs just for yucks...they laughed and said "oh, you're going out"...I remember commenting to one lady in the room that every time a certain number on a monitor dropped, I felt a little bit more "funny"...that's the last thing I remember saying...

Oh yes, I plan to be fully knocked out when I have this done. There is no way I want to be anywhere near conscious when they're digging through my gums to get to the impacted teeth below. No way.
