The Attendance Boundary Committee (ABC) will reconvene to study elementary attendance boundaries for the 2009-10 school year Tuesday.
The group includes parent representatives from every District 719 school, public and parochial school
administrators, a school board member and transportation officials.
New K-5 attendance boundaries will be drawn to accommodate the growing
student population and the opening of Redtail Ridge Elementary in fall 2009.
The committee last met in summer 2007 when it researched
Former Hidden Oaks Middle School Teacher Dorothy Aho ceremoniously passed a hat to Twin Oaks Middle School Teacher Nathan Dapper to lead the annual trip to Washington, D.C. for middle school students Monday.
A dusty staff development plan from 2005 was given 2008 updates this fall by Mary Noel, director of curriculum, instruction and assessment, and her team.
The School Board approved the 2008-09 plan Monday.
With referendum canvassing completed Nov. 7, the Prior Lake-Savage Area School district will move to implement the voter-approved projects.
“It’s been a long four months,” Superintendent Sue Ann Gruver said of her initial time in the district with the referendum looming.

Nurse Cindi Isaacson told the Prior Lake-Savage Area School Board that the district’s health care staff is spread too thinly.
“We are absolutely pushed beyond safety limits for our students,” Isaacson said during Monday night’s meeting.

A joint use agreement to use the McColl Pond Environmental Learning Center (ELC) in Savage will provide “a springboard” for Prior Lake-Savage Area School District students to continue learning in environmental education.
The Prior Lake-Savage Area School Board will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 10, in the large conference room at the District Services Center, 4540 Tower St., Prior Lake.
