Friends of the Mark Pint family will have a benefit pork chop dinner from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29 at Shakopee VFW, 1201 E. Third Ave., Shakopee.
Tickets are available in advance at the VFW for $7 per person or at the door for $8. A silent auction also will take place.
Bridge player Lucille Bellew of Prior Lake plays cards at the District Services Center in Prior Lake with the 55 and up Bridge Group on Nov. 10. Bellew said she's played Bridge since the 1950s. The group, sponsored by Prior Lake-Savage Community Education, meets every Monday from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. for cards and socializing. No registration is required to participate.

The Scott County Sheriff’s Office will sponsor a snowmobile safety course for youth from 8 a.m. to noon on Dec. 20 and 27, with a test ride planned for Jan. 3.
The classroom sessions will take place at the Scott County Law Enforcement Center, 301 Fuller St., Shakopee. The test ride will be at the old Cedar Lake Farm property.

Join the Prior Lake-Savage Area Family Center staff at a fall celebration on Saturday, Oct. 25, from 10 a.m. to noon.
Classrooms will be set up with age-appropriate activities for family fun. Everyone is invited to come in costume, as long as weapons are not included and costumes aren’t too scary for the young guests.
A benefit spaghetti dinner and silent auction for the family of Christopher Kleven is set for 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25 in the commons area at Prior Lake High School, 7575 150th St., Savage.
Kleven died Aug. 30 in a car crash in Wyoming, leaving behind a wife and five children. Kleven had been working in Wyoming to support his family after a layoff from his previous job.
