We are devasted by her loss and your outpouring of sympathy helps us cope and makes us realize how special Ruth Anne was to her readers and friends and acquaintences.

Prior Lake High School seniors Rebecca Dymit and Brittany Rude, both of Prior Lake, were named Commended Students in the 2009 National Merit Scholarship Program. A letter of Commendation from the school and National Merit Scholarship Corporation, which conducts the program, will be presented to the students.

The Prior Lake American has adjusted its approach to sports coverage.
